Solon and Saint-Gobain Building Distribution have completed the signing of a framework contract, which will see the delivery, over several years, of solar modules with a capacity of over 70MW. SGBDD’s Solarkauf brand, a concept that includes all PV products needed to install a solar power system, will offer solar modules from Solon.

“This is a meeting of two strong brands. Establishing a sales network with Saint-Gobain Building Distribution puts us even closer to our customers in Germany,” comments Stefan Säuberlich, CEO of Solon.

“We have set ambitious goals for ourselves in this relatively new market and we look forward to having Solon, one of the most experienced partners, on our side,” states Christian Rotthaus, head of marketing and purchasing at SGBDD.

By the end of this year, Solarkauf shops will be in a total of 45 branches with an assortment of PV products to be available for nationwide order at around 250 sites where SGBDD is represented. Solon will provide comprehensive specialist training to its employees on issues related to the new business area.
