Taiwan PolySilicon, a turnkey customer of centrotherm SiTec, has successfully passed its initial production phase and started up its 5000tn manufacturing facility. The factory, which can be upgraded to 8000tn, is said to be the largest single poly production site in Taiwan. TPSI plans to increase its manufacturing capacity to as much as 12,000tn in the coming years.

For this project, centrotherm SiTec provided the development, technology, and equipment know-how. The German company was responsible for all of the factory planning, and provided the basic engineering, process expertise, and reactors and converters required.

A vent gas recovery system developed by centrotherm SiTec was also deployed, which faciliates better exploitation of process gases, thereby significantly cutting both manufacturing costs and energy requirements as well as eliminating harmful effluents.
